What materials do you use?
We use a UV curable acrylic. The optical properties and most other data can be found in our material overview.
Are the used materials RoHs compliant?
Our material is RoHS compliant . The RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and vehicles. These restrictions were imposed to improve recycling possibilities, preserve the environment and minimize exposure to employees.
What can we use for the cleaning of the lenses?
You can use water, or a gentle all-purpose cleaner.
Do not use isopropyl alcohol (IPA) on un-coated lenses, our polymer is based on an acrylic, and they are soluble in alcohol.
What are the operating temperatures?
Between -20° C and + 60° C ( -0.4° F / + 140° F).
What happens if the temperature exceeds the maximum temperature?
Heating outside of the indicated range might result in a color change. If the heating is excessive, deformation will result.
What happens if the temperature gets below the minimum temperature?
It might be possible that the optical structure develops cracks.
What is the refractive index of the optics?
Luxexcel printed optical structure N=1.53
What is the Abbe value of your material?
Luxexcel material has an Abbe value of 45
What are the values for transparency?
Transparency for LUX Opticlear: 99.4% (per mm)
